Historic Sites Advisory Committees
The Alabama Historical Commission's historic sites
have several kinds of advisory committees.
A site's friends group may also act as advisors for
operations and special programs.
An advisory committee may be formed to help with a
special project. The Cahawba Advisory Committee was
established by the legislature to support Old
Cahawba.
Currently there is a committee helping to develop
the Montgomery Greyhound Bus Station as a museum
about the Freedom Rides. If you are interested in
volunteering to serve on this committee contact
Mark
Driscoll at (1-334-230-2676).
A different kind of advisory committee called a
focus group gives us an audience-view of new
exhibits developed for Confederate Memorial Park.
